17" (43 cm.) Pale bisque swivel head with plump
facial shape and having flat-cut neck socket that
swivels side-to-side in a realistic manner on
bisque shoulder-plate,cobalt blue glass enamel
eyes,painted lashes,feathered brows,accented
nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with
accented lips,unpierced ears,blonde mohair wig
over cork pate,kid poupee body with
gusset-jointing at hips and knees,kid-over-wooden
upper arms,dowel-jointed shoulders and
elbows,bisque forearms with separately sculpted
fingers,black silk gown and undergarments,shoes
are included. Condition: generally excellent,two
thumbs restored. Comments: attributed to Blampoix
who deposed a system for realistic swiveling of
head,as seen here,circa 1860. Value Points:
beautiful poupee with lovely bisque,rare neck
