9" (23 cm.) x 7" box. 5"h. loom. A beautifully-formed card paper box with decorative embossed
gold papers centering an early engraving of a mother teaching a young girl to embroider is
labeled Le Petit Metier a Broder,Alphonse Giroux & Co. and opens to reveal a fitted interior with
wool embroidery yarns,and a superbly-crafted walnut frame with linen canvas,ready to be
embroidered. Perfect to display with poupee about 16". Excellent condition of frame,wool yarns
are unraveled from spools,one end of box is missing. A very rare poupee accessory from the
luxury Parisian decorative arts store of the 19th century. Circa 1850.
