Description
17" (43 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass paperweight inset eyes with darker outer iris rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset-jointing. Condition: generally excellent, body especially clean and sturdy. Marks: 2 (head and shoulders) F.G. (head) 2 (inside wig). Comments: Gaultier, circa 1875. Value Points: pristine condition, original wig, original muslin chemise and with leather heeled slippers and gown with ruffle-tiered bustle.
