Description
To fit slim-bodied doll about 20"-21". Of
blue-gray worsted wool,the uniform features a
fitted jacket with black mustache trim and three
rows of brass bead buttons that is repeated on the
sleeves and at the back tails. The brass
button-fly trousers have decorative brass buttons
around the fitted waist band. The matching cap
with firm brim has gold lettered maker"s label
inside (indecipherable name). 4 1/2" shoulders 16"
overall length. The superior quality of tailoring
and fine details suggest the piece as a tailor"s
sample model. Excellent condition. Circa 1865
