All-wooden doll with swivel head,carved facial features with strong definition,unusual painted complexion,painted brown eyes with thick dark eyeliner and brows,closed mouth with blushed lips,cheeks and ears,remnants of old tacked-on wig,muscular torso,ball-swivel waist,dowel-jointing at shoulders,elbows,wrists,hips,knees and ankles. Condition: generally excellent,feet placed opposite but appear to have been that way originally. Comments: France,mid-19th century. Value Points: unusual painted of complexion and facial features.
