Description
8" (20 cm.) A pig is pulling along a two-wheeled cart that centers a barrel upon which is seated a
man wearing a curious combination of butcher's work apron and driver's uniform; the humorous
scene depicts the pig unknowingly driving himself to the butcher shop, encouraged by a butcher
in disguise. The reins are attached to the pig's ears and when the coil-spring is wound, the cart
propels forward, seemingly by the pig,but actually by the hidden wheels below the barrel; the
driver's arms pump up and down and the pig's ears flip up and down. Excellent
condition, functions well. Marked "Marke-Stock Germany DRGM" on both cart and pig. Walter
Stock,Germany,circa 1925.
