28" (71 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head with very
delicately-tinted complexion,round facial
modeling,brown glass inset eyes,thick dark
eyeliner,lightly feathered brows,accented
nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with center
accent line,unpierced ears,brunette hand-tied
human hair wig over cork pate,French kid poupee
body with gusset-jointed limbs,stitched and
separated fingers,wearing antique blue woolen
gown,undergarments,leather slippers,apron and
ruffled bonnet. Condition: generally excellent.
Marks: Brevete SGDG (body stamp). Comments:
attributed to Blampoix,the brevete mark
referencing the glass eyes,circa 1860. Value
Points: very rare large exhibition-size poupee
with beautiful luminous porcelain,rarer brown eyes.
