Description
4" (10 cm.) Classic standing Kewpie with
loop-jointed arms and right-side-glancing eyes has
body entirely wrapped (save for face and hands) in
orange crepe paper with painted feather like
designs to simulate an owl; atop his head are owl
eyes and wings. The piece was likely created as a
Halloween novelty. Germany,circa 1912,very rare
and wonderfully preserved. Excellent condition.
