17" (43 cm.) Poured wax shoulder head with pink
tinting,blue glass inset eyes,painted lashes and
brows,closed mouth pierced ears,blonde mohair
curly wig in elaborate coiffure with
flowers,straw-filled muslin body,composition lower
arms with painted gloves,composition lower legs
with painted very fancy mauve and black ankle
boots. Condition: generally excellent,nose
slightly flattened. Comments: circa 1875,body
style indicates German production although head is
suggestive of English make; the head and body are
original. Value Points: beautiful unplayed with
preservation,wearing original delicate rose silk
gown with fine lace trim,undergarments,stockings
with blue paper garters,pearls
