13" (33 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead with heart-shaped face and slender elongated throat, brown sculpted hair waved from face and captured in a uniquely-formed bun with looped narrow braid tied with blue bow, sculpted gold tiara at her crown, enamel eyes, open mouth with tongue, upper teeth, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted blue stockings and tan boots with gilt edging, wearing burgundy silk jacket and twill gold vest trimmed with metallic thread borders, gold silk harem pants, and carrying miniature silver treasure chest stamped "800". Excellent condition, indentations in crown originally held glass beads. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
