oil-painted complexion,hair and facial
features,brown center-parted hair with two ringlet
curls in front of each sculpted ear,ringlet curls
around the back nape with shading coloring,brown
downcast eyes,eyeliner,painted brows,closed mouth
with center accent line,blushed
cheeks,stitch-jointing at shoulders,elbows,hips
and knees,stitched-on black shoes,antique cotton
transfer-print cotton dress,undergarments.
Condition: good with original finish,typical
craquelure,nose rub. Comments: Izannah
Walker,circa 1875. Value Points: a classic and
pivotal American doll whose poignant expression is
evocative of folk art paintings of the era,the
ringlet-curled model is especially rare.
