Description
27" (69 cm.) w. x 24"h. x 23"d. The constructed room box whose sides are covered with early lithographs depicting the story of Cinderella is furnished with an outstanding collection of Viennese bronze miniature pieces, each with superb hand-painted and enameled finish depicting 18th century romantic scenes, including grand piano, harp, lady's desk with high paneled back, three-part folding screen, table with drawer, four side chairs, two settees, lady's secretary desk, along with 21 hand-painted porcelains that decorate the walls, and two bisque dollhouse dolls, presumably Cinderella and the Prince. The miniature furnishings are in near mint condition, Vienna, late 1800s. The room was constructed at a later date and for many years was displayed in the Doll Museum at Knotts Berry Farm in California.
