9" (23 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with oval
face and elongated throat,black sculpted hair
arranged with elaborate curls at the sides and a
braided coil on comb forming a top knot at the
crown,painted blue eyes,feathered brows,closed
mouth,blushed cheeks,slender kid body,wooden lower
limbs,painted black shoes. Condition: generally
excellent,one horizontal craquelure on front
shoulder plate. Comments: Germany,circa 1830.
Value Points: beautiful complexion is well
preserved,enhanced by elaborate coiffure unusual
on small doll
