Description
13" (33 cm.) All-cloth doll depicting an infant
child,having pressed and oil-painted facial
features and short brown curly hair,brown shaded
eyes,black upper eyeliner,closed mouth with
defined space between the lips,attached to
stockinette body with stitch-jointed arms,mitten
hands,separate thumb in a manner to suggest a
loose-limbed baby,antique costume. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: Kathe Kruse (left
foot) Germany (right foot). Comments:
Schlenkerchen model II,Kathe Kruse,the doll was
presented for a very short time,circa 1922. Value
Points: rare model with most pleasing artistic
patina of painted features.
