Description
4" (10 cm.) One-piece all-bisque figural depicting
two Kewpies with outstretched arms tucked into
their blue baby bunting; the Kewpies with classic
features and with side-glancing eyes gazing at
each other,and the blanket with ruffled edge and
pink ribbon decoration. The figural is
flat-bottomed for standing and has a narrow vase
opening hidden at the back. Marked with C. at the
back and having an original Kewpie red shield
paper label,and round paper copyright label.
Excellent condition. Germany,designed by Rose
O"Neill,circa 1912,one of the rarest and most
delightful action Kewpie figures known.
