Description
4" shoulder width. 12" overall length. The
dropped-waist dress is an unusual combination of
finely knit bodice and patterned-silk faille
box-pleated skirt with wide draped sash that forms
a large bow at the back. The bodice,designed to
fit snugly,has long sleeves with wide wrists.
There is feather-stitching on the bodice and
frivolous tassels on the sleeves. Along with a
brown pressed-velvet bonnet with duckbill
brim,decorated with a silver buckle and aqua silk
ribbons. Circa 1885.
