bonnet.The black velvet jacket with coat
sleeves,rounded neck,two button closure and beaded
decorations,has a quilted silk lining. Along with
an extravagant confection of bonnet whose brown
velvet form is virtually hidden beneath artfully
arranged black velvet bows,black lace over gold
fabric,applique silver jewelry,and an intriguing
face frame of latticework black crepe. The bonnet
is fully lined and has long black velvet
streamers. Circa 1875.
