Description
4 1/2" shoulder width. 9" waist. 19" overall
length. Of a finely
woven cotton with minute woven pattern,the gown
has a slightly
rounded neckline with V-point that matches the
V-shape of the
set-in waist. the gown has long fitted sleeves
with hooks and
eyes at the wrists,and a cartridge pleated full
skirt. Self-cording
decorated the center bodice,neckline
waist,shoulder edges,and
wrists. Circa 1840.
