Description
5" shoulders. 8" waist. 10" skirt length. Of crisp
ice-blue silk,fully lined of nanking cotton,the
two-piece gown features a dart-shaped bodice with
hook and eye closure under decorative metal
buttons that are painted to match the dress,3/4
coat sleeves with fullness at the shoulders and
having Spanish-style braid and lace trim,that
matches the trim at the cuffs and lappets. The
diamond-shaped lappets hide the waist of the skirt
which has a flat-front panel and cartridge-pleated
back. Some fraility to silk on bodice. Circa 1875.
