Description
5" shoulders. 9" waist. 23" overall length. 5" to
waist. A cotton
day gown in very narrow red and cream stripes has
square-cut
neckline above a cartridge-pleated full
bodice,wide set-in waist
band,and long flowing skirt with cartridge
pleating,open
front,and edged with a self-ruffle. The
pagoda-shaped sleeves
have a self-band and self-ruffle with lace and
cotton sous-
sleeves,and there is brown feather-stitching on the
neckline,sleeves and waist. Circa 1860.
