Description
8" shoulders. 19" waist. 32" overall length. Of a
beautifully
woven jaconet with defined checkerboard and dot
pattern,the
slightly-high-waisted gown features a V-shaped
confection of
ruffled lace and muslin on the bodice that is
repeated in a larger
scale on the cartridge-pleated long skirt. The
widely poufed
sleeves gain their shape from a fitted
under-sleeve and are
lace-edged. A child's costume intended for a
gala,the gown is
easily adaptable to a large bebe,its low neckline
especially
pleasing on a model with bisque shoulder
plate,such as Bebe
Bru. Circa 1875.
