cotton dress with rounded collar,sloping shoulders
with set-in
full sleeves having three bands of scalloped-edge
embroidery at
the top of the sleeve and a wide embroidered
cuff,has strings en
coulisse adjustable fit at the neckline. A wide
V-shaped panel
with attached bretelles covers the entire bodice
with exceptional
embroidery,and,above the cartridge-pleated
skirt,there is a set-
in waist band whose embroidered details are
repeated in the
insert skirt band and scalloped edge hem. Circa 1875.
