Description
5" shoulder width. 9" waist. 20" overall length.
The two-piece wedding gown of luxurious ivory silk
satin comprises a jacket with dart-shaping and
snug fit,narrow sleeves with generous pouf at the
shoulder-edge,Alencon lace over-lay at the yoke
and collar and lace ruffle at the sleeve edges.
The jacket is lined and has inset bone-shaping.
Along with flat-front skirt with flared panel
shaping,extending into a train at the back,having
original attached yellow silk lining,and decorated
with a wide panel of Alencon lace below the waist
and extending down the sides and bottom,and
decorated with a garland of wax orange blossoms
and leave. Circa 1880.
