Description
5 1/2" shoulder width. 15" overall length. Of an
intense-golden silk with itnerwoven designed of
blue-edged leaves,the dress features a box-pleated
bodice front and flat-panel bodice
back,slightly-dropped waist with center box-pleat
framed by all-around 1" pleats. The dress has very
full long sleeves with box-pleats at the shoulders
and gathered wrist bands that are trimmed with
bands of lace and ivory satin ribbons and bows.
The trim is repeated at the rounded neckline with
a ruffled band of lace that continues down the
sides of the bodice. There is an ivory sash with
streamers,and a lace border at the hemline. Circa
1885.
