Description
3" shoulders. 6" waist. 12" overall length. Of a
very fine rose
patterned silk faille,the cut of the petite gown
is low on the
shoulders,yet with a modestly cut V-shaped bodice
with dart-
shaped snug fit and having piping at the darts and
waist. The
very wide collar is triple-pleated and extends in
points over the
very full lantern sleeves with tulle ruffle at the
bands. The skirt is
pleated all around,meeting at the center front.
Some fraility to
silk. Circa 1840.
