Fine muslin two--piece gown with transfer-print
features a hip-length fitted jacket with back
darts,long sleeves with gathered cuffs,set-in
waist band of long skirt with ruffle at at
hemline,buttons and handmade button holes. There
is a decorative band of compatible darker-toned
fabric at the placket and bottom edge of the
jacket as well as the cuffs and skirt,and a ruffle
at the neckline. Circa 1880.
