Description
4" shoulder width. 7" waist. 14" overall length.
The two-piece ensemble features a neatly-fitted
basque jacket that fits snugly over the hips and
flounces slightly at the back,and having a
hand-made trim of purple zig-zag over white narrow
lace border. there is lace edging at the
neckline,yoke and cuffs. The skirt is of rich
purple silk satin with flat-panel front and
pleated back,and edged at the hem with a
lace-edged pleated dust ruffle. Circa 1865.
