Description
3" inside head width. The bonnet medallion-back is
richly encrusted with embroidered cutwork known as
broderie anglaise,and there are two scalloped-edge
brims of the same broderie anglaise,separated by
yet another band of broderie anglaise that gives
dimension to the brims. Four mauve silk taffeta
bows decorate the foremost brim. The bonnet is
lined. Circa 1875.
