Description
3" shoulder width. 6" waist. 12" overall length.
Of crisp silk faille,the gown features a fitted
peach bodice with attached short jacket that ties
at the front above the waist,long sleeves with
widened and elaborately constructed
cuffs,dart-shaped back that extends to the floor
forming into a variant train. The flat-front skirt
has a pleated over-panel that encircles even the
back of the skirt,capturing the bustle,and the
skirt has a demi-train. Decorations include
delicate silk fringe at the jacket edge,with three
rows at the skirt edge. Circa 1875.
