Description
8" (20 cm.) Solid domed bisque head with flat-cut neck socket, bright blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, blonde lambswool wig, five-piece paper mache body with upper neck dowel for jointing to flat-cut of bisque head socket, jointing at shoulders and hips, painted blue socks and black two-strap shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Sonneberg, mystery maker, circa 1880. Value Points: the handsome little fellow has original rare body, closed mouth, and is wearing factory original sailor costume and cap.
