The finely woven
brown silk gown features a rounded neckline with
strings en
coulisse for adjustable fit,fitted bodice with
shaping darts at the
back,self-cording at the waist above a
cartridge-pleated
skirt,sleeves that are pleated at the shoulders
and widen to the
turned sleeve edges. The bodice is lined with fine
muslin,and
there is a detachable panel of gold silk that
extends down the
entire front and is encrusted with superb gold
metallic threads
and paillettes. A matching embroidery detail
appears on the
wide sleeve cuffs and on the side and back panel
of the skirt,and
there is a metallic border on the skirt. included
are matching
pair of silk faille slippers with metallic embroidery.
