Description
4" inside width. With elaborately draped back
edged by 2' band of shirring all around the face
with S-loop shaped passamenterie trim,the bonnet
has a diamond-point border that frames three rows
of very lush and thickly-gathered lace. At the
crown is an elaborate confection of arranged lace
and ivory satin ribbons and bows. The bonnet is
fully lined with stiffened muslin for form. Circa
1870.
