Description
4" width. Designed to sit on the back of the head and frame at the face,the wire-framed bonnet is formed of a rich berry-purple with folded pleats,and has a decorative and intricately folded burgundy silk arrangement at the crow that is decorated with a "diamond" buckle and a cluster of tiny red berries. The burgundy ribbons extends entirely around the edge and forms into streamers,and a coral braid and black looped design edge the inner brim. With original (illegible) gold French milliner's label. Circa 1875.
