Description
5" shoulder width. 13" overall length. To fit Bebe
Jumeau,size 10 and likely from the workshops of
Ernestine Jumeau. Of fine lightweight wool,the
slightly-dropped-waist dress has a box-pleated
bodice that is trimmed with cream feather-stitch
embroidery which repeats on the cuffs of the long
sleeves. The skirt is gathered all-around,more
densely at the back,and the hem is trimmed with a
wide band of broderie anglaise with scalloped
cut-work at the very bottom edge. Circa 1888.
