Description
4" shoulder width. 10" loose-fit waist. 12"
length. Of horizontally-ribbed white pique,the
flat-front dress fits snugly to the bodice and
flares at the hips. The front buttons entirely
with nine pearl buttons and hand-made
buttonholes,and the dress features long coat
sleeves,V-shaped neckline,and a back box-pleated
skirt from below the hips. The dress is richly
decorated with rows of hand-made rick-rack that
extend down the front,around the side and up the
back,and is repeated at the sleeve edges. Circa 1870.
