16" (41 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate with modeled bosom and shoulderblades, brilliant blue glass paperweight eyes with spiral threading and darker blue iris rims, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose-blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows, shaded nostrils, accented eye corners, closed mouth with tiny defined tongue tip, pierced ears, kid bebe body with Chevrot hinged hips, jointed knees with wooden lower legs, kid-over-wood upper arms, bisque forearms, beautiful early silk and velvet bebe frock with lace and ribbon trim, matching bonnet, undergarments, stockings, shoes. Condition: generally excellent, tiny flake on left pierced ear hole, two fingers restored on left hand. Marks: Bru Jne 4 (head and shoulderplate). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1884, the golden Chevrot epoch on that firm. Value Points: the most desirable sought-after "face" of Bru, complemented by splendid eyes, beautiful bisque, and with original shoes signed Bru Jne Paris 4.
