Description
9" brim. 4 1/2 " inside head width. Pale aqua silk
bonnet with wire frame for shaping is lavishly
covered with added casually-woven straw
interlocked with fine wire netting. There are six
tiers of ruffles on the exterior of the bonnet.
The interior brim is decorated with two clusters
of silk flowers,each within an arrangement of
clustered straw to suggest a bird's nest. On one
side is a crocus bouquet,and on the other pink
roservuds. The interior of the hat is silk
lined,and there is an ivory satin bow that extends
over the brim. Circa 1890.
