Description
5" (13 cm.) A wooden box with blue velvet
cover,and containing partial sewing necessaire
elements in its silk fitted interior,has a bisque
sculpted plaque mounted on the lid,depicting in
rich dimension,a young girl with long light brown
flowing curls over he "sculpted" yellow bodice,and
having a white ruffled Charlotte cap on her head.
Condition: bisque plaque excellent,velvet faded.
Comments: attributed to Hertwig,circa 1885. Value
Points: beautiful detail of sculpting and painting
on the wistful child.
