Description
Porcelain shoulder head with slightly rounded facial shape,plump cheeks,painted blue eyed,red and black upper eyeliner,single stroke brows,accented nostrils,and closed mouth with prim little smile,She has a muslin stitch-jointed body with porcelain limbs,painted flat black shoes,and is wearing an early muslin gown with lace trim,and undergarments. Her sculpted black hair is center-parted,combed smoothly around the sides of her forehead,and captured in a neat fitted white bonnet with scalloped edging and magenta ribbon and bow,with ringlet curls falling onto her back shoulders. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany,circa 1860,a similar model appeared in an early Kestner catalog. Value Points: very rare model with simple yet appealing sculpting of hair and bonnet,sweet expression.
