Description
23" (58 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of adult lady
with head turned to the right,very angular oval
face with defined jaw and chin,strong elongated
throat,cobalt blue glass inset eyes,dark
encircling eyeliner,painted lashes,red and incised
eyeliner,feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye
corners,aquiline nose,closed mouth with extended
center accent line,fully-sculpted pierced
ears,muslin stitch-jointed body with leather
arms,antique silk costume with lace collar. Her
blonde sculpted hair has a myriad of tiny curls at
the forehead surmounted by an arranged confection
of ringlet curls at the crown held by a blue
painted ribbon,the side hair waved behind her ears
into elaborately arranged curls and waves with
center-part that extends to her nape. Condition:
generally excellent. Comments: Germany,circa 1870.
Value Points: very expressive posing of face is
enhanced by brilliant large eyes,elaborately
sculpted blonde hair with exquisite detail. She
has a blue ribbon award from 1999 UFDC convention.
