16" (41 cm.) Paper-mache shoulder head of adult
lady with upper-glancing painted turquoise
eyes,black upper eyeliner,multi-feathered
brows,refined nose with slightly upturned
tip,accented nostrils,closed mouth with accent
line between the tentatively smiling lips,old
muslin body,wooden arms,wearing printed muslin
gown and undergarments. Her deeply-comb-marked
sculpted black hair is arranged with center-part
and long cascading ringlet curls that rest on her
shoulders,the curls extending completely around
the back of her head. Condition: generally
excellent. Comments: Germany,circa 1850. Value
Points: very fine condition of the gentle-faced
lady with artful painting of
features,well-detailed hair enhanced with stippled
stray tendrils at forehead and nape.
