14" (36 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta of lady with heart-shaped slender face, brown sculpted hair with coiled chignon, forelock curl, curls onto her nape, enamel eyes, closed mouth, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted blue stockings and yellow boots, wearing original burgundy silk jacket with metallic gilt threads and embroidery, lavish gold-thread-embroidered vest, sash, harem pants. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
