16" (41 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,rounded facial shape and elongated throat,cobalt blue glass eyes,dark encircling eyeliner,delicately painted lashes and brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with accent line between the tiny pale lips,fully-sculpted pierced ears,muslin stitch-jointed body with kid arms,lovely antique costume. Her blonde sculpted hair is center-parted,waved horizontally across the front and sides,appearing to be held by a blue sculpted ribbon which has ringlet curls tumbling across the top; at the back are three voluminous formed curls at the center flanked by tumbling smaller ringlet curls. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: attributed to Simon and Halbig,circa 1870. Value Points: rarity factors of the very beautiful and rarely found doll include glass eyes,swivel head,pierced ears,and exquisitely sculpted hair.
