Description
17" (43 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of adult lady
with plump facial modeling,pale blue glass eyes
with spiral threading,thick dark eyeliner,painted
lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye
corners,and closed mouth with center accent line.
She has a muslin stitch-jointed body with bisque
lower limbs,painted black ankle boots with blue
tassels,and wearing lovely silk brocade gown. Her
blonde sculpted hair tumbles from the sides of
loosely draped sculpted blue scarf at her forehead
and sides,and low onto her back shoulders.
Condition: generally excellent,bisque limbs
antique but may not be original. Condition:
generally excellent. Comments: Alt,Beck and
Gottschalck,the doll is believed to be a portrait
of Queen Luise of Prussia,circa 1875. Value
Points: beautiful sculpting and fine quality of
bisque on the glass-eyed version of the desirable
doll.
