Description
16" (41 cm.) Bisque swivel head of adult lady on
kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,blue glass inset
eyes with dark encircling eyeliner,painted
lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils,tiny
closed mouth with center accent line,fully
sculpted pierced ears,muslin stitch-jointed
body,bisque lower arms,and wearing original muslin
gown with red silk and lace trim. Her blonde
sculpted hair is waved away from her face with
details of sculpting around the forehead,held by a
sculpted black hair ribbon with black bow,and
having an exuberant confection of finger and
ringlet curls overall the back of her head.
Condition: generally excellent. Comments:
attributed to Simon and Halbig,Germany,circa 1875.
Value Points: very rare model with spectacular
coiffure,glass eyes,swivel head,wonderful
costume,the doll has two blue ribbon awards from
UFDC competitions and is featured in Identifying
German Parian Doll by Mary Krombholz
