Description
14" (36 cm.) Bisque shoulder head with head inclined to the left,having painted upper-glancing blue eyes,red and black upper eyeliner,thick stroke brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with accent line between the lips,muslin body with bisque forearms,nicely costumed. She has an elaborately-sculpted bodice with colorful decorations to suggest embroidery and bows. Her sculpted long blonde flowing hair is partially covered by a sculpted bonnet with ruffled inner brim,orange ribbons and bows,and an exuberant yellow plump feather. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: attributed to Hertwig,circa 1890. Value Points: rare shoulder head model with elaborately decorated bonnet and bodice.
