Description
10" (25 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of adult lady
with very elongated throat and oval-shaped
face,having painted blue eyes with red and black
upper eyeliner,single-stroke brown brows,accented
nostrils and eye corners,and closed mouth with row
of painted teeth. She has a muslin stitch-jointed
body with bisque lower legs,and is wearing a
superb original gown of sheer muslin-over-sateen
with lace trim. Her sculpted blonde hair is
elaborately arranged with curly bangs and short
double finger curls around the face,and having a
tightly coiled braided chignon at the crown while
the back of her hair is combed smoothly,captured
by two gilt hair bands and having a short row of
finger curls below the lower gold band. The upper
hair band extends entirely around the back of her
head and forms a gold ribbon bow just above each
ear. She has a very elaborate sculpted gold
three-strand beaded necklace with three gilt drops
below a center medallion. Condition: generally
excellent. Comments: Germany,circa 1890. Value
