Description
11" (28 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of adult lady
with slightly elongated throat,painted blue
eyes,red and black upper eyeliner,single stroke
brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with
pertly-shaped lips. Centered upon her sculpted
full blonde curls is a grey toque with upturned
side brim,a wide black band with flower accent and
generous white lustre ribbon at the back. She has
a muslin body with bisque lower arms and wears her
original red dress with lace trim. Condition:
generally excellent. lower legs recovered.
Comments: Germany,attributed to Alt,Beck and
Gottschalck,circa 1870. Value Points: rare early
bonnet model with wonderful decorative
details,original costume,and having rare sculpted
earring with gold lustre trim.
