Description
Bisque shoulder head depicting an adult lady with
slender un-tinted face and elongated
throat,painted small blue eyes,red and black upper
eyeliner,black one stroke brows,accented
nostrils,and closed mouth. She has muslin
stitch-jointed body with bisque limbs,and is
wearing an antique white lace gown and
undergarments. She has a sculpted yellow bonnet
with interior garland of flowers and leaves that
frames her face and captures her hair of darkest
brown waves. The bonnet has a sculpted lace ruffle
below the hair,and at the back is a ruffled
bavolet and purple lustre plume. Condition:
generally excellent. Comments: Germany,circa
1870,possibly Kister. Value Points: outstanding
detail of decoration and rare fancy bonnet with
bavolet.
