Description
16" (41 cm.) Bisque shoulder head with oval facial
shape,elongated throat,painted upper glancing blue
eyes in half-moon shape,dark encircling
eyeliner,painted red upper eyeliner,painted
lashes,lightly feathered brows,accented nostrils
and eye corners,closed mouth with center accent
line,original muslin body with bisque lower
limbs,painted grey boots with black heels and blue
tassels. She has a sculpted necklace comprising
gold-edged cross on velvet ribbon and gold drop
earrings. Her blonde sculpted hair is waved away
from her face in deep curls finishing in a simple
pageboy arrangement at the back,the sides
revealing the fully sculpted ears and earrings,and
decorated at the crown with a gold-edged black
head band centered by a single rose and green
leaves. Condition: generally excellent. Comments:
attributed to Alt,Beck and Gottschalck,circa 1870.
